Select Portfolio Servicing - A fee to pay your mortgage?
SPS has "owned" my loan for almost a year now. When I made extra payments they wouldn't put it toward principal.
I argued with them over that for months. Then their website wouldn't take my payments. I argued with them for that for 8 months. Now they want to charge me $5 to make my payments online.
They are an on-line servicer. They have no branches near me to make a payment. I am supposed to rely on mailing a check and expect them to process it when they receive it? Yeah, right.
Why is a "bank" allowed to charge you when you make your payment? They are charging me a fee for the priviledge of sending them money.
I have asked them numerous times to sell my loan to someone who is consumer friendly. I am aghast that they can charge me to make a payment!
Reason of review: why can I only check one?.

SPS charges $5 for each payment. No company charges for making online mortgage payment
3 years later and they still can't get with the program. Why are they charging to submit payments online????
I agree with pissed consumer. Fifteen dollars to mail my payment??
New with them as well, unexpectedly also, with my previous mortgage company I went to my local branch and paid CASH so they could never say"your check hasn't cleared yet", which would be ***. YES, IT IS VERY ridiculous to pay a fee online OR on the telephone because that isn't even a live person!
Are we paying their phone bill for them or what???? Debit card would be same as cash but heavens no, they don't accept that either!!!!
