This morning there was a ring at my door, and when I went to the door there was an envelope hanging from it, and a car just idling in my driveway.I opened the envelope from Select Portfolio and it said to call the number on the bottom regarding my account.

I don NOT have an account with this company. So I turned to the car that was STILL sitting in my drive and told them to leave or I would call the police. They rolled the window down a crack and yell out that I needed to call the number. I called the number on the piece of paper to let them know I didn't appreciate their solicitation or intimidation, and it immediately asked me for my social security number!

I called my local news station.

This is unlawful and ridiculous. How can they be a legitimate company and still be doing things like this to people?
